I’m Maria and I’m a Danish artist from the Copenhagen area. I currently reside in the southern part of Zealand in Denmark.

Since I was a kid I’ve enjoyed the repetitive task of tying knots on knots, fascinated with how such a simple act can make beautiful patterns. For me this process is an active form of meditation.

Macramé and beads came together in my mind in 2017 where I created my first beaded door piece that later was remade and remade again to create the finished piece I call Flow.

In 2023 I shared my art for the first time at the Åbent Atelier exhibition taking place in August and September in Næstved. I also currently showcase four pieces at the Næstved Kunstforening store. In November and December I had three pieces on display at the Roskilde Åben exhibition in Palæfløjen in Roskilde, Denmark.
